The surgeon scheduled me for a lumpectomy on February 2nd as an outpatient. Kevin’s parents picked me up and took me to the hospital and stayed there and fasted for me all day. Pastor Becky from Rez came and prayed for me before surgery. I went home after the surgery and never needed a pain pill. At the time of surgery extra tissue was removed as well as two lymph nodes. A few days later I got a call from the surgeon’s office with the pathology report. The surrounding tissue contained invasive carcinoma, grade 3, as well as high grade ductal carcinoma. This was a surprise to the surgeons as it did not show up on the mammograms. The scripture says that those things which are hidden in secret will be brought to the light and the Lord brought this to the light before it became a bigger problem.
I was then sent for an MRI which confirmed the pathology reports. It took a while to get the next surgery scheduled which was March 25th. Meanwhile, there was a lot of time for prayer and pray I did, calling on the scriptures that the Lord had given me. I went to the support group lunches (“B&B Club”) and these amazing ladies, Carolyne, Sarah and Lynda, were such an encouragement to me, praying for me and sharing their experiences.
I also went to Brother Mel, Pastor of All Nations Church, for deliverance prayer as I believe cancer is a spirit. He prayed over me for at least an hour. Thank you, Brother Mel.
